St John the Evangelist on Dixon Lane Road, Wortley, Leeds, is the parish church of Wortley and Farnley in the Diocese of Leeds. The Church Heritage Record states that the building is not listed.

## Overview

The Church Heritage Record dates the predominant fabric as Victorian or pre-First World War and gives the OS grid SE 271 323. A Church Near You notes that the present church replaced an older building on the same site. A captioned archive photograph on Wikimedia Commons identifies the standing church as built in 1898, beside an earlier chapel (since demolished). The legal parish name is Wortley and Farnley.

Sources do not securely name the architect of the 1898 church. The building remains in regular use with the parish of Wortley and Farnley.
