# Leedstown United Methodist Church

Leedstown Methodist Church on Chapel Road is a Grade II former Wesleyan chapel of 1862, with a later schoolroom, still in Methodist use.

## Overview

Historic England records a granite-ashlar chapel with a moulded pediment cornice, Delabole slate roofs, a gallery on four sides, and a late-nineteenth-century schoolroom. The listing date is 26 August 1987 (NHLE 1328354). A lease of 1861 provided a site for a Wesleyan chapel at Leedstown, Crowan. The interior retains a nearly oval gallery on wooden Doric columns, a plaster ceiling rose, pitch-pine pews and an ornate pulpit. The building is the remaining Methodist church in Crowan parish. No architect is named on the list entry.
