# St Thomas a Becket, Pagham

St Thomas à Becket is a Grade I parish church on Church Lane, Pagham, West Sussex, in the Diocese of Chichester.

## Overview

Historic England records a cruciform church with aisles to the nave and a north-west tower with a broached shingled spire. The chancel is eleventh- to twelfth-century; the remainder is thirteenth-century, restored by John Elliott in 1837. The listing NGR is SZ 88369 97475.

The church remains the parish church of Pagham and is open daily. The official listing description is short; the fabric sequence from a Norman chancel to an Early English cruciform plan, with Elliott’s 1837 restoration, is the documented history.
