Overview

Historic England records a parish church of Norman origin comprising nave, chancel and transepts. The chancel is Norman; the south transept is thirteenth-century with three stepped lancet lights. The north transept is Decorated, with reticulated tracery. A mid-fifteenth-century timber-framed clerestory sits above the nave. The west tower is Perpendicular. Fittings include a Jacobean font and a monument of 1616.

The church stands a little apart from the town centre, towards Primsland, and remains an active parish church. The listing is brief; the fabric sequence from Norman to Perpendicular is the main documented history.
