# St Peter & St Paul, Harrington

St Peter and St Paul stands on Church Lane, north-east of Harrington village in Northamptonshire, a Grade II* medieval parish church in the Diocese of Peterborough.

## Overview

Historic England records a parish church of the early and mid fourteenth century and the fifteenth century, with a south tower of 1809. The fabric is coursed and squared ironstone and limestone with ashlar dressings and lead and slate roofs. The plan comprises a four-stage south tower, nave with clerestory and aisles, north transept, chancel and south porch. The tower has ironstone clasping buttresses, a coped parapet and four corner pinnacles.

Interior features noted in the listing include a thirteenth-century piscina in the tower chamber, a fifteenth-century piscina, restored roofs, and a sixteenth-century brass. The church is known for a tuba stentoro-phonica (speaking trumpet), one of a small number surviving in England. Listed Grade II* on 25 February 1957 (NHLE 1213602). The parish is part of a united benefice with Arthingworth, East Farndon and Oxendon.
