Overview
Historic England records an early-fourteenth-century parish church rebuilt in 1869 by T. H. and F. Healey following a fire of 1867. Fabric is flint with ashlar dressings. The three-stage south-west tower stands over the porch: a four-centred ground-floor arch leads to the south door, with a lancet in the east wall, a trefoiled niche and encircled quatrefoil in the second stage, and two-light cinquefoil Y-traceried belfry windows. A vestry of 1869 lies west of the porch.
The south nave wall has two two-light Y windows flanking a three-light Perpendicular window under a straight head, and a partly external stack with an octagonal chimney. The chancel has two-light Y windows and a three-light east window with encircled cinquefoils. The north nave retains an early-fourteenth-century blocked doorway with a large roll moulding and hood on head stops. The interior is entirely of 1869 apart from an early-fourteenth-century trefoiled piscina and a triple-headed corbel table of similar date in the chancel. The roof has collars on large arched braces and two tiers of butt purlins. The font is octagonal porphyry of 1869.
