Overview

Historic England records an Anglican parish church of the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries, with work of 1634–5, restored in 1879–80 by C. E. Ponting. The fabric is graded sarsen boulders and stones, the chancel of coursed squared sarsen, and a fifteenth-century west tower of limestone ashlar, under stone-slate and some lead roofs. The plan comprises nave and south porch, a north vestry of 1843, a chancel of twelfth-century origin rebuilt in 1879, and a south organ chamber of 1880.

The listing describes a thirteenth-century inner south doorway and a crenellated fifteenth-century west tower with pinnacles. Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust notes a hammerbeam roof and monuments including an Elizabethan memorial to a Wroughton and a 1645 monument to the royalist Colonel Granville. The church is open daily.
