Overview

St Paul's Church, Isycoed was until 1827 was a sub-chapelry of Holt, which was part of Gresford.

In 1827, Isycoed became a separate parish covering 3530 acres, including the Denbighshire townships of Cacca Dutton, Dutton Diffaeth, Dutton y Bran, Ridley, and Sutton.

Initially in the diocese of Chester, Isycoed was transferred to the diocese of St. Asaph in 1849. A church existed on the site in 1718, replaced in 1742, with the current church built in 1829.
