# St Michael and All Angels, Little Witley

St Michael is a Grade II parish church at Little Witley, Worcestershire, in the Diocese of Worcester and the parish of Shrawley and Witley (Great and Little).

## Overview

Historic England records thirteenth-century foundations and a rebuild of 1867, probably by S. W. Perkins, in Early English style. The fabric is red sandstone ashlar with a tiled roof: nave with south porch, north vestry and an apsidal chancel. The three-bay nave has an octagonal-plan west bellcote on three columns with stiff-leaf capitals, decorative closed sides, conical capping and finial. Windows are pointed and Y-traceried with stiff-leaf capitals, hoodmoulds and stiff-leaf stops.

The porch is timber-framed and gabled. A semi-circular headed doorway on the north face is all that remains of the earlier church. The two-bay chancel has simple lancets. Inside, a trussed-rafter nave roof rests on stiff-leaf corbels; the pointed chancel arch is similar to the doorway and window surrounds, on two orders with stiff-leaf capitals.
