Overview
Historic England lists a church of the late thirteenth century with twelfth-century remains and a late fourteenth-century tower with spire, restored in 1875. The fabric is sandstone rubble with tile roofs. The plan comprises a west tower, nave with north and south aisles, north porch and lower chancel. The three-stage tower has diagonal buttresses, a plain parapet, a moulded pointed west doorway, a three-light Perpendicular west window, and a stone spire with moulded ribs at the angles. The south aisle wall retains the jamb and part of the head of a twelfth-century opening. The north arcade is of three bays with plain arches.
The Royal Commission recorded the west end of the north nave wall as twelfth-century, the north aisle and arcade late twelfth-century, the south aisle, north porch and rebuilt chancel in the second half of the thirteenth century, and the west tower late fourteenth-century, when the south aisle was lengthened. The spire was repaired in 1904 and 1913. The church is open every day during daylight hours, with level access to the main areas.
