Overview
Historic England lists a parish church of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries with later alterations, in sandstone rubble and dressings with stone-slate roofs: a four-bay aisled nave, two-bay chancel with north vestry, west tower and south porch. The Royal Commission and the parish site date the tower base to about 1200, the chancel to the late thirteenth century, and the nave, aisles and porch to about 1320–30. Doorways reuse twelfth-century arch stones. Restoration was about 1865; the tower was restored in 1903.
The two eastern bays of the sixteenth-century nave roof have a boarded ceiling painted with Tudor roses. The west tower is embattled, of three stages. Interior features in the list entry include a fourteenth-century chancel arch, octagonal nave piers, a seventeenth-century screen filling the tower arch, and a vestry wagon roof that may be fourteenth-century. The church stands in the village centre, in the Diocese of Hereford.
