# St Mary, Kirk Bramwith

St Mary at Kirk Bramwith, Doncaster, is a Grade II* church of ashlar magnesian limestone with a Norman south doorway, in the Diocese of Sheffield.

## Overview

Historic England records a church whose twelfth-century south door and chancel arch otherwise give way to fourteenth- and fifteenth-century fabric: a west tower with north vestry, three-bay nave and two-bay chancel. The south doorway has two orders of colonettes, scalloped capitals, zig-zag and restored beakhead ornament. The chancel arch has shafted responds, scalloped capitals and a two-order round arch. Twentieth-century nave furnishings are by Robert Thompson of Kilburn; the nave roof, with Duchy of Lancaster arms, is by G. G. Pace of York. Listed Grade II* on 29 September 1987 (NHLE 1286522).
