# St Mary, Dallinghoo

St Mary is a Grade II* Church of England parish church at Dallinghoo, Suffolk, in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

## Overview

Historic England records a late-eleventh or early-twelfth-century church with early-fourteenth, fifteenth and nineteenth-century additions, of flint rubble with ashlar dressings and a lead roof. The eastern chancel was demolished; the former central tower now stands at the east and serves as the chancel. Herringbone flint in the tower is early Norman. The west and east arches are around 1300 or a little earlier. The south porch has fleuron-decorated mouldings and, in the spandrels, shields with symbols of the Trinity and the Passion. The church was formerly listed as St Margaret. Listed Grade II* on 16 March 1966, amended 15 August 1988 (NHLE 1030325). Suffolk HER places the church at TM 2660 5498.
