# St Martin, North Owersby

The Church of St Martin on Church Lane, North Owersby, is a Grade II parish church in West Lindsey, Lincolnshire, rebuilt in 1762 with medieval ironstone and an apsidal chancel, in the Diocese of Lincoln.

## Overview

Historic England records a parish church totally rebuilt in 1762 using medieval masonry, with nineteenth-century alterations, of ironstone rubble, ashlar dressings and a lead roof: a two-stage west tower, tall nave and apsidal chancel. Semi-circular headed windows have a plain circle over; a sundial sits on the south nave wall. The interior has a wide semi-circular chancel arch, a domed apse, an exposed eighteenth-century butt-purlin roof, Minton tiles in the chancel, a brass to the Revd Neilson (d. 1827), painted inscriptions of 1764 to churchwarden John Richardson and painter Rob Sheardown, and an eighteenth-century font on a bulbous pedestal. Listed Grade II on 1 November 1966 (NHLE 1166156). Local accounts name J. Warner of Caistor as the 1762 builder of the apse.

The civil parish is now Owersby. No separate parish website was found.
