# St Margaret, Braceby

St Margaret on Main Street, Braceby, is a Grade II* festival church of coursed limestone rubble in the parish of Sapperton with Braceby, Diocese of Lincoln.

## Overview

Historic England records a parish church of the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth centuries with eighteenth- and nineteenth-century alterations: nave with western bell-cote and clerestory, north aisle, chancel and south porch. The west end has a roll-moulded plinth and a large central buttress supporting the bell-cote. The south aisle was removed, leaving a blocked two-bay arcade reset in the south wall. Stained glass has been dated to about 1300 and the fourteenth century. Listed Grade II* on 20 September 1966 (NHLE 1360324; list title ‘Church of St Maragret’).
