# St Luke, Stickney

St Luke is a Grade II* parish church on Main Street, Stickney, Lincolnshire, in the Diocese of Lincoln.

## Overview

Historic England records a parish church of the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries, restored in 1793 and again in 1887 and 1900 by Bassett Smith. The fabric is ashlar and red brick, with plain-tile roofs to nave and chancel and a lead roof to the south aisle. The plan comprises a fifteenth-century angle-buttressed tower (part rebuilt in 1900), nave, south aisle and porch, north aisle, vestry and chancel. The four-stage embattled tower has a moulded four-centred west doorway, a four-light fifteenth-century west window with panel tracery, and transomed bell openings.

The north aisle, rebuilt in 1793, carries an ashlar plaque of that date. Lincolnshire Heritage Explorer notes surviving Early English work including four-bay arcades with quatrefoil piers, and a Decorated south doorway. Stained glass is largely late nineteenth and early twentieth century, including an east window of 1923 commemorating the Revd Henry Hales.
