Overview
Historic England records a parish church probably of the early fifteenth century, enlarged later in that century. Alterations of about 1621 are associated with Sir Richard Robartes; the south aisle is dated 1736. The church was restored and the chancel extended in 1886, and reopened on 3 October 1888. The fabric is granite ashlar, with the north wall of the north aisle in granite rubble, granite dressings, and slate roofs with crested ridge tiles and coped gables. The plan is a nave and chancel in one, with north and south aisles and a south porch; arcades have Pevsner A-type piers. A medieval stone cross stands near the south porch. The church stands within the Grade II* registered park of Lanhydrock.
