# St Helen, Aswardby

St Helen’s is a Grade II Church of England parish church on Church Lane in Aswardby, a small East Lindsey settlement in Lincolnshire, in the Diocese of Lincoln.

## Overview

The present church dates from 1747. A west gable plaque is inscribed “E.H. Church Warden 1747”. Nave and chancel sit under one roof of pantile, with a nineteenth-century wood and lead cupola at the west end. Walls are rock-faced ashlar with ashlar dressings; later work is in red brick, including parts of the gable apexes and the south wall. The west doorway has a moulded surround and an eighteenth-century panelled door; the north wall has two round-arched windows. The east opening is now blocked. Mid-nineteenth-century alterations include the south casements. The interior has a panelled ceiling.

Historic England listed the church Grade II on 3 February 1967 (list entry 1359688). It is recorded as a festival church in the parish of Aswardby. No dedicated parish website has been confirmed.
