# St Cynllo, Llangoedmor

St Cynllo is a Grade II* Church in Wales parish church at Llangoedmor, Ceredigion, in the Diocese of St Davids. Cadw records an Anglican rebuild of 1830–32 by David Evans of Cardigan, remodelled in 1859–60 by R. J. Withers of London.

## Overview

The listing describes coursed rubble with Bath stone plate tracery of 1859, slate roofs with red crested ridges, a west bellcote dated 1891 and a south porch probably of 1859. Nave and chancel are of near equal length. Over the chancel arch stands an exceptional miniature classical steeple of 1830–32 in Cilgerran stone (restored 1993), in three tiers with Roman Doric columns and an obelisk spirelet. Cadw includes the church at Grade II* for this steeple and for the near-complete 1859 furnishings.

Windows have Cilgerran stone voussoirs; the east window is three lights with two sexfoils. A lean-to vestry has a strongly modelled chimneystack. Memorials include plaques to the Lloyds of Coedmore and a monument to Colonel H. Vaughan of Plas Llangoedmore (d. 1855). The church stands on a lane between the A484 and B4570, north of Croesllan crossroads.
