# St Boniface, Nursling

St Boniface at Nursling, Hampshire, is a Grade II* parish church of Saxon origin, mainly fourteenth-century, restored by G. E. Street in 1881, in the Diocese of Winchester.

## Overview

Historic England records a parish church of Saxon origin, mainly fourteenth-century, with a thirteenth-century transept, restored by G. E. Street in 1881. The plan is an aisleless nave and chancel, south transept, and south porch beneath a tower. Walls are rubble stone with coupled fourteenth-century windows of Decorated tracery, a three-light west window with reticulated tracery, and a three-light cusped fifteenth-century transept window. The roof is tiled; the tower above eaves level is hung with shingles and has a shingled broach spire. The eastern part of the chancel is Victorian. Fittings include an Elizabethan pulpit and a mid-nineteenth-century Perpendicular octagonal font. The south transept holds the Jacobean tomb of Richard (d. 1613) and Maria (d. 1622) Mille. Listed Grade II* on 29 May 1957 (NHLE 1093670). The legal parish is Nursling and Rownhams.
