Overview
The parish was created in 1896 for new housing around Ecclesall Road. Historic England records a church of 1897 by J. D. Webster: coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and a plain tile roof, an incomplete chancel and transepts, nave with clerestory and narrow aisles, and a north-west tower with spirelet. It opened in December 1898. The listing does not name J. D. Sedding or J. H. Chamberlain. Charles Eamer Kempe glass includes the east window in memory of Archdeacon William Favell. Listed Grade II on 28 June 1973 (NHLE 1246924). The parish is St Augustine, Endcliffe.
