Overview
Historic England records a parish church of the fourteenth century, rebuilt in 1857 by Maughan and Fowler: dressed greenstone, slate roofs, nave with west bellcote, south porch, chancel and north vestry. The interior keeps a fourteenth-century sedilia of crocketed ogee arches on clustered shafts with carved heads. Local accounts note an earlier rebuild in 1705 using the medieval green sandstone; Pevsner treated the present building as essentially Victorian. Listed Grade II on 14 September 1966 (NHLE 1063663).
