# St Andrew, Anderby

St Andrew is a Grade II parish church on Rectory Lane, Anderby, Lincolnshire, in the Diocese of Lincoln.

## Overview

Historic England dates the parish church to 1759 with additions of 1887. The listing describes red brick with ashlar dressings and squared greenstone rubble, and slate and lead roofs: western tower, nave, facetted chancel, south porch and vestry. The eighteenth-century three-stage brick tower has a greenstone plinth, plain bands, dentillated eaves and a shaped lead roof. Tower and nave windows are semi-circular headed, in stone surrounds with key and impost blocks.

The chancel and vestry of 1887 have matching moulded-brick semi-circular headed openings. The canted chancel has a window to each of its three sides. The gabled south porch stands against the tower. Interior arches are semi-circular; the chancel arch is of moulded brick with paired ashlar shafts, fluted bases and cushion capitals. All fittings are nineteenth-century, including an octagonal font.
