Overview
The listing describes a nave with north aisle under a shallower cat-slide roof, north transept and chancel with north vestry, and a south-west steeple. The west end has a four-light window with Geometrical tracery. Aisle and nave windows have reticulated tracery. The tower has a north-west canted stair turret, a south entrance of three orders, three lancets above, two-light reticulated bell openings and a broach spire with lucarnes. The five-light east window is flanked by gable buttresses.
The interior has a four-bay arcade on round columns, an arch-braced clasped-purlin nave roof and a wagon roof to the chancel. The north organ loft has paired arches under a tympanum with a quatrefoil. The listing notes good early Gothic Revival stained glass to the east and transept windows. Wikipedia records building in 1872–75 and consecration on 21 June 1876. The benefice is united with St Aidan, Speke.
