Overview
The church stands near Lough Erne as a chapel of ease for parishioners who lived far from the older Inishmacsaint parish church. It belongs to the Garrison, Slavin, Belleek and Kiltyclogher group of parishes, the most westerly grouping in the diocese, on the Fermanagh–Leitrim–Donegal border.
The building was extensively refurbished in 2008 (new kitchen and vestry, renewed roof, plaster and pews) and rededicated in April 2009 by Bishop Michael Jackson. Katherine Cecilia Elliott, daughter of Robert Williams Armstrong, co-founder of Belleek Pottery, worshipped here and was organist for many years.
Published dates for the original fabric conflict (early eighteenth versus early nineteenth century). The church does not appear on the Northern Ireland statutory list.
