# All Hallows, Ordsall

All Hallows is a Grade II* Church of England parish church on All Hallows Street, Ordsall, Retford, Nottinghamshire, in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.

## Overview

Historic England lists a thirteenth-century and later nave and chancel with a fifteenth-century tower, much rebuilt in 1877 by T. C. Hine of Nottingham (NHLE 1045228; listed 14 September 1949). No church is mentioned in Domesday; the first recorded rector was in 1277. The tower was repaired after lightning in 1823. Hine’s restoration of 1876–7 rebuilt most of the aisle walls, added a new south porch, and renewed roofs, floors and fittings; the church reopened on 31 October 1877. C. Hodgson Fowler carried out further work in 1880, including resiting the late-fifteenth-century oak rood screen. The listing cites the medieval Perpendicular tower, Early English nave arcades, the rood screen, and Hine’s restoration. The church is in the parish of Ordsall and Retford, St Michael, with St Michael the Archangel, West Retford.
