# Killinchy Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church

Killinchy Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church on Comber Road, Killinchy, County Down, is a Grade B1 Classical meeting house of a Remonstrant (Non-subscribing) congregation.

## Overview

The congregation’s history records that after a court judgement of 1843 against Rev. Samuel Watson and the Non-subscribers, they left the older Killinchy Presbyterian meeting house (now a separate listed building, HB24/17/020). A temporary wooden building opened on 29 January 1844. The foundation stone of the present house was laid on 10 June 1845 and the church opened and was dedicated on 16 August 1846. The building is Northern Ireland listed building HB24/17/045 (Grade B1). It has a Classical painted five-bay façade with a pediment over the central three bays and a round-arched doorway with a dated keystone. Listing URLs for Northern Ireland are not used in the Gazette list-entry field. This is the Non-subscribing church at Killinchy, County Down, not Killinchy Presbyterian Church on Craigarusky Road, Balloo.
