Overview

Holy Trinity Church was constructed between 1876 and 1877 along Wrexham Road in Rhostyllen. The foundation stone was placed on October 24, 1876, and the church was officially opened on September 12, 1877.

The church was designed by J.E. Lash, featuring rock-faced snecked stone and an early Gothic architectural style.

Situated on the southeastern edge of Rhostyllen, the church stands within a spacious churchyard on the southeast side of Wrexham Road.

Holy Trinity serves as the parish church for the ecclesiastical parish of Esclusham, established in 1879 from the townships of Erddig, Esclusham Below, and a portion of Esclusham Above. In 1916, C. Hare carried out interior modifications to the church.
