Overview
The congregation was founded in 1916 in a house in Markham Terrace as the village grew around the colliery. Geograph records the present chapel as built in 1922, on the corner of Abernant Road and Pen-y-werlod Road; the National Churches Trust notes a dressed-stone frontage and a light interior. The village Wikipedia page records that the chapel celebrated its centenary in 2016. No Cadw listing has been found for the building.
The chapel continues weekday activities as well as Sunday worship. Published sources give little further architectural detail, and no architect is named in the accounts consulted.
