- The church is open on Tuesdays from 9am to 12noon for a weekly Country Market between March and December. When the church is open for other events there is an ‘Open Church’ sign on door. For single or part visits outside these times please enquire.

Overview
The congregation’s first chapel was built on Shaw Bridge Street in 1815. The present church stands on part of the castle rock; the foundation stone was laid on 18 April 1862 and the building opened on Good Friday, 3 April 1863. The church’s own history records the 1863 building as larger than its predecessor. The building is not on the National Heritage List for England (nearby listed structures on Castle Gate include Clitheroe Castle and Nos 1 and 3 Castle Gate). The church is used for worship and community events, including a weekly country market.
