## Church of Holy Trinity, Buildwas

The Church of Holy Trinity is a Grade II listed building located in Buildwas, Telford, Shropshire, England.

### Overview

The Parish Church has medieval origins, with a rebuild in 1720 and restoration in 1864. The building is constructed of regularly coursed gritstone with ashlar dressings and machine tile roofs. It features a nave, chancel, west belfry, south porch, and north vestry.

The nave has two bays and round-headed windows with raised keystones, one in the centre on the north, one to the west wall, and one on the south. The gabled stone porch has a moulded pointed arch and a cast-iron plate above recording the 1720 rebuilding. The late 19th century belfry has a steep pyramidal roof and brass weathercock. The chancel has two bays with angle buttresses and 2-light Gothic-style windows, with a pointed chamfered doorway on the south and an east window of 3 lights in a similar style.

The interior features a 17th century Pulpit and a mid-19th century octagonal font. Wall memorials can be found on the north and south sides of the nave, as well as a brass plate on the south wall. A board on the west wall records the benefed to the parish. During the medieval period, the church was a possession of nearby Buildwas Abbey.
