Capel Seion is a Grade II Welsh Presbyterian chapel on Gwynant in the centre of Rowen, a large mid-nineteenth-century meeting house still used for worship and a local history exhibition.

Overview
Cadw lists Seion Welsh Presbyterian Chapel (reference 17017, designated 21 February 1996), prominently sited on the north side of the main street. The large rectangular chapel was probably built in 1841 when the former Siloam Chapel was converted for later use as a Women’s Institute room. Walls are rubble on a low rubble plinth under a plain slate roof. The symmetrical east entrance front has paired tall arched windows with 18-pane sashes and radial glazing, flanked by arched doorways with four-panel double doors and radial fanlights. Three further arched windows light each of the other sides. Openings have dressed sandstone voussoirs. An ex situ stone tablet on the east wall carries a Welsh dedication and the date ‘Sion 1819’. The interior is plain, with a panelled ceiling and tiered seating rising towards the west.
The Presbyterian Church of Wales and the village site state that the 1841 chapel stands on the site of the old Seion chapel of 1819 and houses a historical exhibition. The chapel is open to visitors daily and stands on the North Wales Pilgrim’s Way. Cadw’s grid is SH 758 720 (easting 275840, northing 372011).
