# All Saints, Stechford

All Saints is the parish church of Stechford, Birmingham, a red-brick and terracotta Decorated Gothic church of 1898 by J. A. Chatwin, in the Diocese of Birmingham.

## Overview

The Victoria County History records an iron mission church of St Edburgha’s, Yardley, opened in 1877 and known as All Saints from 1892. Chatwin’s permanent building of brick with terracotta facings, comprising chancel, nave, lady chapel, aisles and vestries, was dedicated in 1898 and consecrated in 1932, when a parish was assigned out of Yardley. A conventional district had been attached in 1905. An apsidal baptistery and porch from the original design were added after consecration; choir and inner vestries in matching brick followed in 1934.

The church is rectangular, with a high nave of four bays, octagonal stone piers and pointed brick arches, clerestory windows, and a wagon-roofed chancel. It has no tower. The building does not appear on the National Heritage List for England.
