# All Saints with Holy Trinity, Loughborough

All Saints with Holy Trinity is a Grade I parish church on Steeple Row, Loughborough, Leicestershire, in the Diocese of Leicester, the town’s civic church and a large medieval wool-trade building.

## Overview

Historic England lists a church that is mainly fourteenth-century, restored and enlarged in 1862 by G. G. Scott, of ashlar, with nave and aisles (a secondary south aisle of 1862 between the south transept and porch), transepts, chancel and a four-stage fifteenth-century west tower. The four-bay nave has pinnacles and battlements. Aisle windows are three-light with Decorated tracery; clerestory windows are fifteenth-century, three-light, two to each bay. The chancel has Perpendicular side windows and a Decorated five-light east window.

The tower has a west doorway with shields and leaves in the spandrels, a five-light Perpendicular west window, and a bell stage of tall two-light transomed windows with quatrefoil heads, flanked by blank panels; pinnacles and battlements were restored in 1950. Inside are a lofty tower arch, quatrefoil arcade piers, nineteenth-century roofs, sedilia and piscina in the chancel, and a monument to Joanna Walters (d.1673). The churchyard holds a fine collection of carved Swithland slate headstones. Listing NGR is SK 53810 19942. The parish website is allsaintsloughborough.org.uk.
