# All Saints, Hereford

All Saints on High Street, Hereford, is a Grade II* parish church of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, in the Diocese of Hereford. Official listing is Grade II*, not Grade I.

## Overview

Historic England records a parish church of coursed rubble and ashlar sandstone with slate and tile roofs and an ashlar tower and ribbed spire: nave, chancel, south aisles, tower with spire, north and south chapels. The north front has five Perpendicular windows. Interior fittings include a pulpit of about 1621, fourteenth-century stalls with misericords, a sixteenth-century font (David Garrick was baptised here in 1717), a seventeenth-century reredos, fifteenth-century tiles and wall painting, and a chained library of some 300 books, the second largest in England after Hereford Cathedral. Listed Grade II* on 10 June 1952 (NHLE 1025105).
