# All Saints, Hemswell

All Saints is a Grade II* Church of England parish church on Church Street, Hemswell, Lincolnshire, on the Lincoln Cliff, in the Diocese of Lincoln.

## Overview

An Early English three-bay north arcade with octagonal piers and a stiff-leaf capital on the east respond survives from the thirteenth-century church. The south aisle was taken down in 1754. The present three-stage west tower, with round-arched openings and corner pinnacles, was built in 1762–64; a stone records both the aisle’s removal and the tower’s completion. Nave, north aisle, porch and rectangular chancel were rebuilt in 1858 (Lincolnshire HER: 1857–65, probably by Henry Goddard, who had reported on the church in 1846). A Decorated sedilia remains in the chancel; the font is Decorated, repaired in 1865, and bears the Monson arms. A painted royal arms is signed I. Hawkesworth of Gainsborough, 1837.

Historic England listed the church Grade II* on 16 December 1964 (list entry 1166242). No dedicated parish website has been confirmed.
