# All Saints, Great Sturton

All Saints is the Grade II* parish church of Great Sturton, East Lindsey, a small medieval church restored by T. J. Micklethwaite in 1904, in the Diocese of Lincoln.

## Overview

Historic England dates the church to the eleventh century, with thirteenth-, fourteenth-, sixteenth- and eighteenth-century work, restored in 1904 by Micklethwaite. Materials are greenstone rubble blocks with limestone ashlar dressings, some red brick and render, and slate and lead roofs. A square twentieth-century wooden bell turret stands over the west end. The plan is nave, west bell turret, south porch and chancel. The church was listed Grade II* on 14 September 1966 (list entry 1063098).

The listing notes a late eleventh-century south doorway inside the porch, a blocked early thirteenth-century west doorway, outlines of a lost thirteenth-century north arcade, and a fourteenth-century west window heavily restored in 1904. The chancel was truncated in the early twentieth century.
