# All Saints, Clapham Park

All Saints is the Church of England parish church on Lyham Road, Clapham Park, in the Diocese of Southwark. The present building of 1982 replaced a Victorian church that had become structurally unsound.

## Overview

The parish website records that All Saints opened in June 1858 and that the original building, constructed by George Myers to a design associated with Thomas Talbot Bury, was consecrated on 19 January 1859. It was planted from Holy Trinity, Clapham, to serve a growing population linked to HMP Brixton; a parish was assigned in 1873 from parts of St Matthew, Brixton Hill, and St James, Park Hill. London Metropolitan Archives notes the Victorian church was replaced by a modern building in 1982. Geograph and London church surveys date the present church to 1982–84 and name Richard Watson and Partners as architects. Stained glass from the nineteenth-century church was reused in the new building.

The present church is not listed. It stands on Lyham Road (SW2) and remains an active parish church, open on Sunday mornings and Thursday afternoons.
