# All Saints, Marsham

All Saints is a Grade I parish church on Church Lane, Marsham, Norfolk, in the Diocese of Norwich.

## Overview

Historic England lists a parish church of the thirteenth century and later, of flint with stone dressings and a slate roof: west tower, north and south aisles, south porch, nave, clerestory, vestry and chancel. The two-stage tower has diagonal buttresses, fourteenth-century two-light windows and a chequered flint parapet. Aisles and clerestory are largely late Perpendicular; the south porch has a tall fourteenth-century doorway around a thirteenth-century church door. The chancel is mainly a nineteenth-century restoration. Inside, five-bay arcades have octagonal piers; the north aisle retains a niche, piscina and rood-loft stair. A fine fifteenth-century single hammerbeam roof has carved angels. The listing records remains of a fifteenth-century screen decorated with sixteen painted saints, and a Seven Sacrament font.

Norfolk Heritage Explorer and local church accounts add a hammerbeam roof with angels, a 1467 Seven Sacrament font, a fifteenth-century rood screen, and rare medieval glass fragments including an elephant and a unicorn. The royal arms of James I stand on the organ loft.
