St Lawrence Church, Stoak, is an Anglican parish church located in the village of Stoak, Cheshire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building and has a rich history dating back to the Norman conquest.
The church was rebuilt in 1827 by George Edgecombe and underwent further restoration in 1911–12. The church features a cruciform plan with a west tower, nave, north and south transepts, and a chancel. Inside, you can find a Tudor hammerbeam roof, oak parish chest from 1686, Jacobean altar table, Georgian pulpit, and several memorial boards. The churchyard contains a red sandstone sundial and the grave of Nelson Burt, among others.
St Lawrence Church is a significant cultural landmark and has been mentioned in the song “The Unfortunate Gwatkin” by Half Man Half Biscuit.
